GhanaColl was my new home and I had to adapt. Waking up early morning in the cold weather to scrap the toilet and bath was becoming a norm. I didn’t understand why a senior will wake up late and not do anything expecting me to go fetch water for him take his bath, I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING. I hated the Friday nights before DORM INSPECTION. How do you expect me to clean up, sleep around 1am and wake up at 3:30am on a Saturday morning. On top of these was standing in line dressed in all white waiting for some girls to come inspect your attire and personal belongings. I wasn’t in tune with that. No wonder Kwasi Plange was nicknamed the house of the CROW Because we believe a crow threw dirt on the inspectors when they were about entering the dormitory.
I really loved the Entertainment Nites probably because of the performances and to converse with the ladies. When I was approached by Kwabena Adu to join him rap on the freshers night I declined. Later I found out that he was the best act for the night. “SCOOBY DOO representing GhanaColl 99’ check it out. GhanaColl mbaa mo Ama me shock”. Charley, that rap was dope I can’t forget it.
